DANIEL HOLLOMAN
Daniel Holloman (SHS Class of 2005). The Epitome of a Track Athlete. Daniel is
one of the most versatile athletes in Sisters High School history. He excelled on
the football field as a three-year varsity player, playing wide receiver, strong safety,
and punter. However, Daniel was most amazing during track and field season
earning a varsity letter all four years. As a member of the SHS squad, Daniel
qualified for the State Track and Field Championships Meet in an astonishing seven
events. He single-handedly scored 38 points at the District Meet his senior year
and finished his career in the All Time Top-10 at Sisters High School in nine events.
Daniel was a track team captain his junior and senior years and was team MVP
and top scorer his senior year. Upon his graduation the Sisters Nugget newspaper
awarded Daniel The Nugget Student of the Year. He also won the Sportsmanship
Award of the Year and the SHS Citizenship Award. Daniel continued his education
and track and field career at Weber State University (Ogden, UT), where he high
jumped, triple jumped, and long jumped. An injury ended his track and field
career, but Daniel has utilized his Bachelor of Science in Business Management as a
business professional in Utah.
